Anyone can confirm where is The Orchard Wellness & Medical Resort located? Formerly known as D-Paradise Park Resort or Nusa Dusun Orchard Resort? Situated at Lubok China or Kuala Linggi? Confusing......

Jonker Walk traders optimistic after CM's response

MALACCA: Hope is rising among Jonker Walk traders after a positive response from the Chief Minister over the future of the street market since a 13-month stalemate began.

Datuk Seri Idris Haron sent an SMS to The Star on Saturday saying he would help after local council personnel issued summonses to some of the traders for several offences on Friday.

At 11.55pm that day, a group of traders met with The Star to protest against the summonses and raise the issue of whether or not the state government would relent in its decision to close down the street market.

The traders felt they were being unfairly targeted by the council’s enforcement officers.

They claimed that they were also being forced to renew their business licences every three months since early this year instead of annually.

The Star then sent SMS and WhatsApp messages at about 2am on Saturday, detailing the difficulties faced by traders and their hope that Idris would intervene since other attempts to resolve the impasse had failed.

At 5.06am during sahur, Idris texted back: “Ok, I will do.”

Teo Chee Keong, 42, speaking on behalf of the traders, said the Chief Minister’s positive response over their predicament was good news during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said the traders would arrange a buka puasa event to thank the Chief Minister and his team.

Not sure when they r going to launch. Hyatt has announced tat they intend to expand here few years ago. But till now no news yet. But I think hatten group expand too fast in melaka, and the market here is not as big as the 3 big cities.

Construction of Faithview's 49 stories Twinview Residence is expected to begin this coming Nov as per their website.

As I know the tallest will be Twin View Residence, 49 storey which is expected to begin construction this coming Nov as stated in their website.

The tallest:-
City Centre u/c The Shore 43, 32, 27, 27 storey
Melaka Raya u/c Hatten City Phase 1 45, 45, 2 x 20+ storey
Kota Laksamana u/c The Green 44, 39, 18 storey
Bukit Beruang u/c The Heights Residence 4 x 26 storey

Not sure how tall Hatten City Phase 3 and Parkson Festival Mall project.

Twin View Residence

If Hyatt really coming, it will be at the 3rd phase, as 2nd phase is the Imperio Mall & Residence.

Sorry out of topic, I have been staying at Hyatt Regency in HK (HKD1.8k+/night), quite nice hotel. I think there are 2 Hyatt Regency in HK, another one more expensive. Shanghai Holiday Inn Express only less than RMB400/night=RM200, nice hotel too, there are quite many HI Express in Shanghai.
