The water curtain is still working(sometimes). But the LCD sure "rosak". The water curtain has the same situation with the water pond/fountain at the river of life/masjid jamek, they working "depend on their(dbkl) mood".

The river dam is back to work again. The downstream of the dam is shallow that it shows all the underlying rubbish in the river. Someone has to go and remove them.

GREEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

For those wanting to make a difference in the environment of our beautiful country, let me make a suggestion. I recently joined a KL NGO (Green Drinks KL) to help clean up a small portion of the Klang River banks: it was a small portion but a good start. This young dynamic group is just starting out on physical "gotong royong" for this event, but usually meets once in a month or so to discuss about environmental-related topics and awareness, as well as clean-up exercises should participants want to join. The more volunteers they have, the better! As part of the River of Life initiative, this organization is also in contacts with DBKL as well as other governmental organizations to try to make a difference, starting from the banks of KL's major rivers. The event I joined started at the Mid-Valley area of the Klang River.

Here's their website if people are interested:

I just remembered! Last Thursday & Friday, the weir/dam at Pasar Seni is up again!

Exposed a lot of downstream rubbish too.

The wier is operational daily from 5.00pm to 10.00pm. Regarding rubbish, the rubbish blame it on Kuala Lumpur residents living along the river who don't care about their environment.
