Bjarke Ingels Design Will Likely Remain the Choice
for 2 World Trade Center

Rumored prospective tenants include JP Morgan & Chase and BlackRock.

News emerged early this year that News Corp and 21st Century Fox were pulling out as the anchor tenants at 2 World Trade Center, jeopardizing the future of the Bjarke Ingels-designed project. But now, the developers behind the project, Silverstein Properties, have hinted that they are likely to stick with the Ingels design while marketing it to prospective tenants, the New York Post reports.

Those prospective tenants are rumored to be JP Morgan & Chase, and BlackRock, according to the Post. Larry Silverstein, the head of the Silverstein Properties told the Post that once News Corp pulled out, their firm had the option of going with Ingels' design or a previously proposed Norman Foster design.

However based on the tenants Silverstein spoke with, Ingels' design is the likely choice, and a representative for Silverstein confirmed to Curbed that the firm "expects to use the Bjarke Ingels design for 2 WTC."

Silverstein owns three other buildings at the site: the under-construction 3 World Trade Center, which Curbed recently toured, and the completed 4 World Trade Center, and 7 World Trade Center.

In allen guten Lagen.

Was hältst du denn etwa hiervon? Das ist doch mal wirklich etwas anderes.

Upper East Side | 1558 3rd Avenue

Quelle: http://www.yimbyforums.com/t/new-yor...1-floors/565/8

@1558 3rd Avenue

LaGuardia's $4B Revamp Will Kick Off This Summer
http://ny.curbed.com/2016/6/1/118334...rt-summer-2016

The $4 billion renovation of LaGuardia Aiport will get underway this summer after the public-private partnership deal for the project was finalized on Wednesday, Crain's reports. The project is a collaboration between the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and LaGuardia Gateway Partners. The latter group comprises of airport operator, Vantage Airport Group, investment company, Meridiam, and construction firm, Skanska.

LaGuardia Gateway will begin work this summer with the demolition of a parking garage in front of the existing terminal building. This will be the location of the new, 1.3 million square foot terminal, which will be created with an innovative bridges-and-islands design to allow for better airline circulation, more flexibility for passengers to reach gates, and reduce delays.

Already, $2.5 billion have been raised for the construction. Of the total funds, the consortium of developers will provide $1.8 billion, and the Port Authority will contribute $2.2 billion. LaGuardia Gateway will receive a part of the revenue generated at the new terminal from tenants and airline fees, and in turn will be responsible for overseeing the construction and ensuring that it is completed on time.

Financial District | 45 Broad Street Tower

Developers are looking to break ground in September on the 84-story, 1,127-foot-tall residential-and-office condominium tower.
