has anyone actually been able to get hold of any visuals of this scheme?

I suppose we will only have to wait 1 week until the applications is lodged however...

be interested to see if they apply for detailed or outline consent

More than likely,

I wish they'd have wrapped around the building rather than had a dead corner space there

Sefton, in the model and visuals on Monday the corner is infilled with a first floor roof top bar facing Broad St, the ground floor showing a curved entrance for the hotel. Didn't see that render with Big Bites yesterday, though the second visual showing the roundabout was there.

This building is to be called the left bank? Perhaps we should call Broad street the Gaza strip.

The Big Bites takeaway was the classy Left bank restaurant where Hillary Clinton eat during the G8 summit, many moons ago. I'm assuming they took the name from there, but where they got it from I don't know...maybe there used to be a canal running up Broad Street.

Big Bite use to be a Bank and i assume this from the angle they were looking at it, was left of the bank.

First impressions are good. Height seems good for location, build materials are key though.

The idea of this joining the construction of Paradise Circus, Arena Central and all the changes at 5 Ways are almost to much to comprehend... *faints*

Hold your horses RB, ideas have to become practical realities yet. I have more faith in the other two (although they'll still be deftly slow going), I won't get my hopes up until it is 70% built and to the point no return (or freeze). I still don't believe they are fully committed to the project, although these detailed plans look like they could be the start of, possibly, something.

We just have to look out for the inevitable reduction in height and then, in theory, this should be good to go.

I know, I know,

but the eternal optimist in me is a little excited.

There is a hell of a lot of detail in this application too.

The arrangement of buildings hardly responds to its surroundings and they sit really awkwardly with each other and the bank.

I don't think this quality of architecture should be allowed on large buildings.
