This thread needs to be renamed because the site isn't actually on Holloway Head. It's really off Exeter Passage, Ernest St and Florence St. When this thread was bumped today, initially I thought it was for another site that has been proposed.

I hadn't appreciated what a 'hotch potch' of factories, industrial units, weird looking apartments & dereliction there is around here ..... and so close to the city centre! Those balconied apartments behind that high wall remind me of some apartments I rented when I stayed in the Sierra Nevada at Lone Pine in California .... bizarre!!!!

Lots of scope in the future for massive regeneration around here, and possibly 'tall' too, with the area being so close to town.

I think it got approval on appeal but there might be funding problems.

That's the back of the hotel Sandy - used to be Campanile now Ibis I think. Campanile used to have a few hotels in Brum, Cov and also Redditch - good French hotels with nice restaurants inside them.

Is that the Seven Capital site? I thought the site is where the football fields are now, that appears to have been done up so I'm a little confused.

This site isn't Seven Capital. More's the pity because they probably would have started building on it by now.

The football fields are for football, no other development as far as I'm aware.

It's not a seven capital development yet... no reason why they can't and won't buy it given their track record though!

The only mod who has the power (after much debate last year on a now-deleted thread ) to do that is Belfastuniguy & he doesn't follow our threads. Any issues (delete abusive comments) or requests to change the name of a thread are made here. He's pretty sharpish.

It's not an ideal situation, but there you go..

Anywho, back on topic

Nah I'm not responsible enough (especially when I'm attacked) & you know it. Thanks for the laugh though lol. Reiss or Sefton would be leading candidates when that opportunity arises

Some activity on this site over the last week. Large yellow digger is back and appears to be doing some form of ground works

I think I saw some Armac vans, so it looks like some reclamation is required before work can begin.

Small amendments gone in as of 05th October, also lets get the thread name changed as this isn't on Holloway Head, surely it's not just me that gets this confused with the Holloway Head scheme which is being taken out by the same company also. They are officially marking it down as Windmill Street.

https://eplanning.birmingham.gov.uk/...DAURI=PLANNING

A few renders taken as we're missing renders from the thread also.
