The adjacent Free school is now called City Academy and is no longer part of the Perry Beeches group; so unlikely that a new primary school will be built here anytime soon?

Lots of activity for several weeks now.

I think they are breaking up the old concrete slab, and moving the rubble about.

Presumably as part of the foundations ground works?

Lots of dirt and rubble to clear.

Great to see another site being prepared for construction.

Some views of the site

This building on the corner appears to be under demolition

Approved

Not happy with the reduction in parking which was predictable, but thankfully got the go ahead all the same.

On the Court Collaboration website, they've got completion as being Q4 2019. Is that likely now? Could this be built in the next two years?

I should think spades will be in the ground quite quickly on this one, it does seem to be their priority especially how they started marketing it as off plan nearly 2 months ago which they haven’t done with Lunar Rise or any of the others.

They're already on site, so I would have thought yes Ralph

Never fear, Nigeman is here. Ralph, if you check out CC's new blog you'll see that they're primarily focusing on two projects for next year: The Axium & Arden Gate.

Cheers Pep and nige. The blog also mentions that Holloway Head is an upcoming project too (para 2). On the website, it has Holloway Head down for a start early next year although I would think that is unlikely. Is it possible? Does the planning application need to be renewed? It would be great to see Holloway Head and The Axium rise at the same time.

Yeah I agree that it is very unlikely, especially with the historical issues of not being able to get anything off the ground on this site. They are yet to confirm they have sorted out the lease with BCC, I can’t imagine them going with the initial plans (just like they didn’t with The Axium), then you have the demo of the two remaining buildings and then the tender and appointment of contractors so early next year seems pie in the sky to me. We are looking at H2 next year at the earliest if everything runs smoothly from now on in imo.

This is still sitting on the planning portal.
