175m will do! Is that too much to ask?

Josh, great minds think alike. I`ve been wanting a biggie on that fourth corner for ages. It looks unfinished. About 35-40 stories would do the trick. Don`t want to be greedy.

Infact, rebuild the whole of Smallbrook Queensway in a long, slightly curved 10-12 storey building, with a tall tower at the corner of Holloway Circus!!

Anything upwards of 125m is a bonus. Our Beetham would have been the tallest of all had it been built to its original height, however it's different times now and I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't as tall as the towers in the Northern Powerhouse.

This isn't Manchester!! It could be a while before we even break the 150m mark.

I love your continual quest for size, Josh 'Viagra' Webb.

Realistic for brum would be about 60m you mean. Nothing happens in birmingham now sadly, it's all about the north now.

It does sound good doesn`t it!! Ha ha. I cringe everytime I walk along Smallbrook Queensway and the bottom of Hill St. It`s horrible.

Josh, as far as the tower goes, I would perhaps suggest the same as Beetham, part hotel, part resi. I would have Smallbrook Queensway pedestrianised.

The curved building would probably be all residential with ground floor retail/bars/restuarants etc etc.

What I`d do with the bottom end of Hill Street is anyone`s guess. Probably nuke it as the Yanks would say. That would be an improvement for starters. It would be replaced with retail/ bars etc with offices above and some tall hotel towers.

You talking about rebuilding the one that is there or replicating it the other side of the road?

Building a new one the other side of the road so we have four tall towers at Holloway Circus.

Oh I see. Yep. Build a new one or some sort of exceptional re-clad with new windows.

Probably a new one though and build it about 10-12 storeys.

Hold the phone! I won't be giving this Ralph Guy a penny more than £500,000,000.
That should cover the costs

Really? Come on josh just look at the development forum. Busiest it's ever been. You're just talking about skyscrapers. Did you know for instance works are progressing in birmingham on 2 of the 3 tallest office towers outside London? I also assume holiday inn is the tallest hotel under construction outside the south east? Where we are lacking is in residential towers... yet, we have dozens of huge mid rise schemes and some absolutely fantastic 8-14 floor blocks due to be built.

Obviously we'd all like some 40 storeys monsters to get stuck in to but you can't ignore what's going on in the city because we're only stretching to 113m tall at the moment!

Yeah I was being sarcastic again mate. I'm actually happy with what's going on right now and what should be going up next year too.

Maybe there's just a hole inside of me left by regal tower and that's why I want each tower to take a viagra or two like harbourne hinted at.

That's interesting, if it's 3900 over 8 sites minus the 3 above that averages 577 apartments for the 5 remaining schemes!

Yep. I`d agree. It does say 8 'sites' so the Birmingham site could be one tower or several towers on one site.
