HUDSON VALLEY : Photos and Discussion thread

What's between the city and upstate? The Hudson Valley region, of course! Post photos and discuss one of the United State's most beautiful river valleys in this thread. The Hudson Valley is a historical region filled with cities, suburbs, state parks and a myriad of colleges and universities. Once upon a time during the era of Romanticism it was the inspiration for the Hudson river school of art. It is the home to the famous West Point Military Academy. White Plains is a notable skyline city.

Albany is separate from the Hudson Valley , that would be the Capital Region... The edge of the Hudson Valley I would argue is Kingston,NY...

yeah, I was thinking of whether or not to include it. I just went by the map. It makes more sense to not include Albany though. I edited the first post with a more regional map.

That White Plains Photo is pretty impressive...not too many good skyline photos of cities in Westchester..

Beautiful pics. I've always thought the Hudson Valley is so under appreciated by people who aren't from the area.
