Printhouse apartment developers break ground in New Rochelle

Megalith Capital Management and partner East & Hudson broke ground on Aug. 16 for The Printhouse, a six-story, 71-unit apartment building in downtown New Rochelle.

The Printhouse is being built at 165 Huguenot St., next to Trump Plaza, across the street from New Roc City entertainment complex and a quick walk to the Metro-North Railroad station.

...more in the article.

NewRo Studios (11-19 Burling Lane) | 6 floors | 73 units (artist exclusive)

New Rochelle approves site plan for 'artist live-work' building

Quote:
NEW ROCHELLE - The city Planning Board Tuesday approved site plans for an apartment building intended for artists only.
NewRo Studios, a six-story, 73-unit building is the latest approval for the “Burling Triangle,” a portion of land between Burling Lane and Interstate 95.
[…]
Hammel said in August that plans for the building at 11, 15 and 19 Burling Ln. include the 73 studio apartments below market rate, a rooftop music performance space, an art gallery lobby and 3,000 square feet of artist work space in the basement.

26 Garden Street - 900k+ sqft TOD

A prime site for sale. I'm expecting another highrise from this. Parking will likely be involved for the nearby station, maybe that will enable a developer to boost the height.

Eastern Consolidated Named Exclusive Agent to Market Prime New Rochelle Mixed-Use Development Site

Quote:
Eastern Consolidated has been retained as the exclusive agent to sell a development site adjacent to the Metro North train station in downtown New Rochelle, Westchester County. The asking price is $22.5 million for the property at 26 Garden Street, which offers the opportunity to build over 900,000 square feet based on local zoning.
[...]
The site, which allows for a mix of uses including residential, hospitality, commercial, and parking, is across the street from the Metro North and Amtrak train station, a short walk to the vibrant New Rochelle Central Business District, and less than a half a mile to 1-95.

277 North Street - another potential 28 story tower. We can open a thread when more details emerge and a height is confirmed.

The Hugenot Report:

Quote:
The Bank of America location at 277 North Avenue in New Rochelle is closing. Originally reported by Bisnow, developers RXR and Fisher Brothers purchased the property, which they can build on up to 28 stories.
a proposal for 14 LeCount Place is slated to go before the planning board soon. Reports are 2 x 27 floor towers, another project which would be worthy of its own thread should it be approved.
