Yes indeed, it would certainly spark a few debates!

One less eyesore as you leave New Street can only be a good thing...

Didn’t expect this to start at all, this will really look good!

Is there any pictures of refurbished on the new street side?

There are pictures of the New Street elevation in the first post.

Also a render showing how the signage would look on the lift shaft part.

Glad to see refurbishments like this, it’s quite a prominent and big building and stands out from all angles really, the works will make quite a big change I think

Looking forward to this one

An unexpected and much welcome development, as stated above it is in such a prominent position by New Street and desperately needs a facelift to help improve the perception of the city with the footfall through this area.

The renders certainly look positive - I hope the signage is neon - there’s simply not enough in the city centre - maybe it will also act as a catalyst for nearby refurbs etc.

I had in mind Ladywood House which desperately needs something doing to it.

Would this include improvements around Superdrug, Bella Italia and Boots?

If only they could rebuilt the Theatre Royal on the site!

Some other recent views (more looking beyond the Charters Building).

This was two years ago.

The elevations seem to show the retail units retained as-is. I'd like to see double height fronts if possible.

102 New Street | Offices & Retail | 9FL | Refurbishment | Prop

Fantastic news! Now if BT could sell or redevelop the Hill Street exchange that would be perfect. A small number of ugly buildings around here blot the landscape, amazing city centre locations ripe for redevelopment.
