Really hope your right, this end of town is a complete crap hole.

I really like McLaren, wish it was teller. The other sides a little bit suspect, however its less visible so its all good.

[QUOTE=rotundazag;136618271]Looking forward to seeing this go up.

Maybe it will help kick start the redevelopment of Martineau Galleries./QUOTE]

This site proposes a good level of office and resi accommodation, if anything it might hinder it coming forward in the shorter term. May help the long game though.

From the corner of James Watt Queensway and Dale End earlier this evening.

The hoardings around here are in the process of being dismantled and replaced by temporary fences.

Unbelievable reporting in the Birmingham Post with regards to this project
"Exchange Square is the latest stage in the long-running redevelopment of the land formerly occupied by the Masshouse Circus traffic island system which as already seen residential blocks Hive, Masshouse and Lighthouse completed"

They've managed to amend that quote now - rather funny.

Great to see preparatory works continue so that this site can be cleared ready for construction to start in the new year. They were also painting the old hoardings opposite the "rubbish dump" which had details of the old scheme when it included offices. As we all know this scheme is now all Resi.

At last the city centre is expanding once again.

The car park for the McLaren Building is also blocked off.

Nice view of the site from The Priory Queensway.

Half of the pavement on James Watt Queensway is closed, but at least the crossing to Aston University is still open and in use!

I think there is a sign pointing for pedestrians to cross over at that crossing.

The hoardings that haven't been taken down, are now being painted green.
