Sunway Invest Rm30bil in Medini Iskandar, with theme park


Sunway Berhad continues to increase its foothold in high-growth Iskandar Malaysia with the acquisition of two parcels of freehold land (Pendas North and Western Pendas South) total 779.07 acres adjacent to the existing Zone F, Medini measuring 691 acres, which was acquired about a year ago.

The 2 pieces of land would be acquired through a joint venture company with Iskandar Asset Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB), for up to RM 412.7 million.
sunway 005The new acquisition will improve Sunway’s total landbank by 29% to 3,580 acres while the proposed development will boost the company’s total GDV to a total of RM43 billion. In total, Sunway will have 1,558 acres of development land in Johor, with an estimated GDV of RM 25 Billion making it one of the largest landowners in Iskandar Malaysia.

I wonder who will set up their office in this place
No bus, no mrt, driving also very far away
Thus township currently has zero development
It's deserted
They should build homes here and build office in JB town

Seems like based on the satellite map
But actually it doesn't close to any thing even puteri harbour
I mean.. There are no residential taman around AT ALL
Building office there is too risky imo

Like I said it seems very close but the connectivity is not there
Have to go all the way to the top and make a big u turn ..
This project doesn't even that close to puteri harbour

Building office tower in a deserted place?
I don't think it's good afterall the connectivity is poor
Unless they provide something like bus kilang or shutter bus all the way from geylang patah/ horizon hill or bukit indah .. Which are the closest taman

I'd drove there before when the show house is still under construction

This sunway project is really in the middle of nowhere quite a distance from Anjung and Legoland.... Huge empty land

It'll probably take 20 years to be fully developed

JB town is too congested and old to make a green and new city out of it so Gomen throw all money into nusajaya to build a new and green city something like the sink Tianjin ecocity or Vietnam

KUALA LUMPUR: Citrine, the first phase of Sunway Bhd’s integrated mixed development in Iskandar Malaysia, is enjoying keen interest from property buyers, with its office suites now completely sold out.

In a statement yesterday in conjunction with the opening of its sales gallery, Sunway said it has achieved a 100% sell-out on its office suites.

“We are very encouraged by the strong response to our first launch as buyers liked our approach in providing a holistic range of products to create a community within The Lakeview precinct to live, learn, work, shop and play,” said Sarena Cheah, joint managing director of the property development division of Sunway Bhd for Malaysia and Singapore.

Hisham Hamdan, executive director of investments of Khazanah National Bhd, said Sunway Iskandar’s first phase sell-out is “a remarkable achievement and encouraging news” for all stakeholders of Iskandar Malaysia.

“Since Khazanah and Sunway teamed up in 2011, we have been collaborating to drive Medini Iskandar’s progress as a catalyst development for Iskandar Malaysia. We are confident that this is just the beginning of a greater success story,” he said.

Citrine at The Lakeview precinct comprises 167 office suites and 51 retail units spanning over 140,000 sq ft next to the 20-acre (8.09ha) tranquil Emerald Lake garden.

The office suites range between 746 sq ft and 1,671 sq ft with the average selling price of RM760 psf.

Cheah said 328 serviced apartments (618sq ft to 1,571sq ft) priced between RM800 and RM900 psf will be launched next, followed by landed homes.

“With the overwhelming response for the designer office suites, we [have] decided to immediately open registration for the priority preview of Citrine’s serviced apartments,” she added.
