I love Australia's highways.
They are yummy, I particularly like the arrangement of the expressways in CBDs

Very nice, seeing some of more quality roads up for appraisal. Funny seeing a 4 lane freeway in Melbourne compared to one of our crappy country 1 laners.
Victoria has a great network of freeways, radiating outwards like wheel spokes but unfortunatly for freeway enthusiasts, further expansion of the network is unlikely. Aside from the final few k's or missing links between freeway sections, new freeway grade roads beyond the large country towns seem unlikely to eventuate due to lower traffic volumes, although politics/demand may change peoples minds.
But good news, New South Wales & Queensland are all go with new sections of freeway, particulaly for the Pacific Highway between Sydney & Brisbane & the NSW section of the Hume Highway.
And Queensland does some pretty ace freeways.

New freeway/dual carriageway construction will depend entirely on John Howard. Hopefully, instead of being a stingy ratbag like in the past,, he'll give VIc it's fair share. The only major freeway project that needs to get funded by Howard is the highway to Shepperton. If he refuses this, he is a major ****head. Most other proposals involve upgrading existing freeways and dual carriagways. Two major new proposals, dupiclicating the road past Geelong and Trarlgon, have already been dismissed by the ****en feds.

I hate to say it but there are far more pressing needs for Sydney's roads, these should be funded before some of the ones listed above. Melbourne's road newtork is gernerally ok, but ours is straining. Too few roads, too few lanes, too many cars and nowhere left to build the roads but underground.

Instead of brainless namecalling and swearing you could take his advise and put some sources in your posts if those pics aren't yours. just a thought...

Well. As usual Angry Bob (thunder head/M3SoutheastMelb/M1SouthEastMelb) has succeeded in turning another one of his threads into a total farse and then (yet again) getting himself banned aswell.

We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.
