It has gone through two stadium construction companies and one false start. It also took on enka because i quote 'we always delivered our projects on time and within budget'

The truth is behind all the media spin as is usual to save face this project has been in crisis since January when it became apparent timing and budget were way off the mark.

By the way, do you know what pattern will the seats form inside the stadium?

There is no winner in this competition other than these designs. all the other designs smell. This plan requires little or no alteration of the seating bowl (which needs cleanup, though).

The problem with this design is that currently the first 5-6 rows of the lower stand are not steep enough (you can see it in the first render), and thus view is not that good. So some alteration is needed.

Not exactly, it was Archasia Group, but the Taiwan office, not Shanghai, and Taiwanese people will tell you they're not Chinese
So, out of all the images you've shown above- it's Taiwan that's won.

Ahh thats horrible, you guys actually like the Taiwan design?
I thought the China design was by far the best, by far.

The Taiwan project wont have a retractable roof right? I mean is it going too look exactly like in the pictures, with the see through glass and all. With all that metal being visible when its finished being constructed?

If I'm to answer this question- jest, I think the best design won. Chinese one, to me, looks pretty much liek what they used to design for Asia a decade back, and these don't really get my applause. Especially that this wouldn't fit Kiev, if I were to choose, I'd take "Taiwan" or "Austria".

The stadium won't have a retractable roof, but I don't think it will look exactly like in the renders, I guess this was more a conceptual competition, so the final design might differ a bit...

Great job, masterpaul, I think this list should be added to the beginning of every EURO 2012 stadium thread. It will make it very convenient. I'll do it later today.

Thank you. Russian kindness towards Ukraine has always been relentless but lately has become unprecedented, a couple more of these posts and we will drop our NATO aspirations. Amazing international relations skills, now it's clear where russian leadership gets its wisdom from - the ordinary population

Good luck with that Sochi event.

Look at that closely. Definately it has no running tracks... It's a football-only stadium.
