and hopefully it stays that way, but Extell has a mystery project lined up for the Diamond District and depending how tall, it could prove obstructive.

Interesting. It appears to be a hotel. I doubt they could get away with blocking this view. But then again money talks.

There a thread yet??!!

The second last picture is amazing. The skyline has changed and will change, hard to believe that at least 3 towers of CPT magnitude or close to are planned in midtown. The Grand Hyatt site, tower fifth and Chase HQ. In time, a megatall will have to come, cause lad will be more scarce. NYC is back in the game big time!

Me too. It would look more Gothomy and less like the "Johnny-come-lately" towns in Asia and Mid East--a few tall buildings looking down on a two-story-high common city below

At this point my theory is that they'll just keep adding floors until somebody notices.

If people had too live in a building like these sky high prisons they would not want too.

Not sure what you mean by "plain cheap glass." This is probably triple-glazed IGU with low-e coatings. If you mean that the curtain wall is flat, then yes, I believe you are right, it's flat.
