It was 3.5 crore per day on M-2 last year (FWO). Officially by NHA it was 2.5 crore per day. Yes M-2 is the busiest with M-1 close behind.

This amount looks low. Are you considering revenue collection at the First entry point of M-2 in both of the directions, or you are also considering Toll collection at all of the intermediate points/Toll of the M-2 motorways as well?

What are the revenue collection stats of M-9? Unlike M-2 which have Toll free G.T. road option, There is no alternate route of M-9 and every body is compelled to take M-9, whether they like it or not, and as a result of this M-9 motorway is very busy, also considering traffic originating from Port and going towards north of the country.

G. T. road which is now upgraded to N5 has toll plazas along it's entire route so it's not Toll free. Furthermore it goes all the way to Karachi from Peshawar.

Those are from the internal records of FWO toll collection which includes all entry/exit points. So they are irrefutable facts. I don't have any source in other motorways management.

Who says there is no alternate route for M-9? N-5 is on a separate longer alignment but it is essentially parallel to it. I think there are no toll plazas on this section, at least not very visible on google earth. Due to M-9 it must now also experience less traffic.

As others have noted, N-5 is not toll free. At least from Peshawar to Lahore, each toll plaza collects 20-30/car and there are many such toll collection points.

Is their any external audit done (By Pwc etc) of NHA or FWO. I have concerns that an authority might be fudging numbers and looting from the toll collected.
