at 157, you at least got various shades of blue. this one is a total monotone gray. totally unimaginative and cheap. just look at those pieces of art: Tower Verre, or the Steinway tower next door. What a cheap and awful TRAVESTY this one is.

i am sure the developers wanted it that way to cut costs. but they should learn from the Steinway: ritzy/fancy facades lead to premium charging prices for the units. this one is taller, but that is all that it got. no balconies, no rooftop gardens, no nothing. And it is marketing itself as "residential"! Residential for the absentee owners or the blind ones. Steinway is immeasurably fancier and should muster better prices hands down. So disappointing!! We all waited so long for this "thing". Quite a downer

220 CPS will look like a gemstone set in metal.

Both Tower Verre and the Steinway tower next door ARE gems. So tasteful and artfully done. This things is a travesty, and it actually stands out over the prestigious Manhattan skyline like a sour thumb for decades to come

Just look at the exterior of Tower Verre. (The Steinway is needless of description)

tallmark can you post some pictures? Would like to see that view point.

The original design was more suitable for New York:

Tall towers in NYC need spires and crowns. 432 and CPT are just exploiting the skyline.

Don't be prejudicial. I am tall, but I don't like to be called Frankenmark

Took this early this morning around midnight. There was work going on at the site as well as work at 111W57. I like watching all the people just walk by this super tall without even glancing up.

Probably because it's not worthy. Another day another thin blue skinny thing. Boring.

Being so tall doesn't necessarily mean it deserves worship.
