none of the greys are up-todate.
the 33 Bligh st new DA will be in soon and will be alot taller then current model.
Mirvacs Goodsell envelope will be replaced with comp winner.
Also the 1-9 bligh st which is the german design eliptical tower will also come in soon to replace block enevlope.
The 140m mide city tower will start in sept!
You can also see Seidlers last ever project on clarence st. this will start next year apparently.
Also the 120m Hyde tower should also start this year.
Come 2008, the "sea of red" will be back with a vengeance!
imagine the EDH site and CUB site masterplans also included in model.
they should be there now but state gov have been slow organizing models.
heres the WESTFIELD model taken late today! how good does it look!!!

Not to sound too complacent, but these CBD models make Sydney look MASSIVE especially in comparison to other OZ cities - its scary to think Sydney looks so Massive now when these models dont even include CUB and EDH - Whats gonna happen when they are included - we will have a giant on our hands!

No never Coneslammer, the tallest being about 110m opposite the UTS Building on Broadway.

Now the Barangaroo site currently states in the heading off the site 185m+, so if that states that ie 185m+, then possible archtectural features above that egs: spires etc bringing it above 200m!!

...

John Boyd really compliments Citigroup in that pic above.

Model of Sydney

I am new to this forum but am loving the topics.

I have a few ignorant questions.

First
In the models of the Sydney CBD what do the colours that you keep referring to stand for?
White?
Red?
Beige?
Brown?
etc etc
Please help me out

My second question is where can one go and view this model?

Thanks

may be wrong:
White (proposed)
Red (Under construction)
Grey (DA approved - could be mixing this up with white)
Beige/Brown (complete)

to see it, go to the "one stop shop" at town hall in the city. Head to town hall. walk down towards darling harbour or through the passage way between town hall and st andrews cathedral. you'll see the entrance on the north western side of that block.
head into the building and the model is right at the front
