With new AON signage? Sorry, but it's not clear from your post.

I put a pic of it being taken down on the NSW News & Gossip thread, & mandonov replied. #11357 page 568.
Last I looked it was all gone on northern side. This is the blue glassy tower on Kent overlooking Banga South.

Who knew the intrusive Westfield sign was so useful!

Just noticed that the new signage on the old SHARP building in Milsons Point (55 Lavender St) has been turned on. It was replaced about two weeks ago, have been meaning to take a photo so will try and remember tomorrow!

EY signage on 200 George from Nawi Cove, Barangaroo.
First time I've noticed it all illuminated on this side of the building.
Centre background.

I noticed whilst on my way back home in the inner west from the eastern suburbs (I was driving on Anzac Bridge), I saw the Channel 10 logo being replaced with the new one.

Anyone know what's going on with the Telstra sign on 400 George? It's covered up.

Coca Cola sign is going back up in Kings Cross!!

Hopefully it's back up in lights for the weekend...though considering how miserable the weather has been the last day and a half that might be a bit ambitious.

That took way longer than necessary to install. I wonder what the delay was.

Is signage just for information (or confusion) or does it create the image of a city

if elements from its environment are replaced with those from an entirely different context
does it maintain its character, or does it transform into a new landscape altogether?

daigo ishii tokyo-themed urban landscape of New York..

Thanks! Yes I did find a reference to the Sydney City Harbourview Hotel, as opposed to the one in North Sydney, so that must be it!
We shall see!

I found a website with both names (presumably the new and the old) mentioned.

Dont miss out - auction starts next wednesday

1974 Coke sign to be auctioned for charity
aug 30

Quote:
THE iconic Coca-Cola sign that has looked over Sydney’s Kings Cross for more than four decades is going on eBay.

Coke has announced it will auction the old pieces of the newly renovated sign, with all proceeds going to Wayside Chapel.

Coke will auction the eight letters of the 42-year-old sign individually over five days from Wednesday September 7.
Each piece will be auctioned separately but an individual bidder may bid on all of them for a chance to own the set.

The two largest letters, the “Cs”, are more than 5.4m tall, up to 6.6m wide, 29cm deep and weigh 65kg each.

The results of the eBay auction will be announced at the official switch-on of the new sign in mid-September.

Coke will start the bidding at $100 apiece but hasn’t said how much it hopes to bring in.

While it's certainly a worthy cause, I would prefer to see key icons of Sydney's past like this donated to the Powerhouse Museum. Selling it piecemeal means it will likely scatter to the wind with pieces possibly ending up interstate or overseas, making it almost impossible to acquire (or even donate) as a whole in future.

It sort of reminds me of the lost opportunity we had to retain the glorious chandelier that hung in the lobby of the Regent Theatre.
