"Pointed tower"? I think this one's definitely a supertall!
Based upon additional renderings I've seen, I believe that the tower will have a triangular shape like the Flatiron, and that's what's meant by "pointed."

The new rendering is out now, they have it over at ssp. I don't know how to post it here on my phone so hopefully someone else can get it.

Curious about the angled top. It really doesn't carry the diamonded design vernacular very well nor accomplishes much in the way of distinction. In fact, it actually reinforces the blandness of that boxy elevation.

A true wedge here would be very nice.

it would be nice to have a rendering with the same perspective to that of the WPC's rendering.

haha, well I don't mind the Hearst tower 2.0, the design of them is one of the best so far in my opinion.

The new project is 8 stories shorter than the WPC, so the height is likely ~900 feet.

it doesn't really matter how many floors, depends on how many feet each floor is

I would assume the floor height has stayed the same, as the original proposal was only a few years ago. I'm sure Extell will clarify the situation soon, but comparing the renderings it's clear that the new version is slightly shorter.
