The wildlife of Brazil is all the natural flora and fauna in the South American country. Home to 60% of the Amazon Rainforest, which contains more than one-third of all species in the world, Brazil is considered to have the greatest biodiversity of any country on the planet. It has the most known species of plants (55,000), freshwater fish (3000) and mammals (over 520). It also ranks third on the list of countries with the most number of bird species (1622) and fifth with the most reptile species (468). Approximately two-thirds of all species worldwide are found in tropical areas, often coinciding with developing countries such as Brazil. Brazil is second only to Indonesia as the country with the most endemic species.
Flowery Valley at Serra das Confusões National Park - Piauí
The Serra das Confusões National Park is in the state of Piauí. The terrain is relatively flat, containing sandstone plateaus and adjacent depressions of the Parnaíba depression. Altitudes range from 350 to 660 metres (1,150 to 2,170 ft) with an average altitude of 600 metres (2,000 ft). The lower portions are more rugged, with rocky outcrops holding small caves and springs of water. The intermittent Itaueira River rises in the park.
Guartelá Canyon is located in the Campos Gerais plateau in the state of Paraná. It's the world's 6th longest canyon and the longest in Brazil. The canyon was sculpted by Iapó River.
Boipeba Island is part of the Cairu Archipelago, located along the coast of Bahia state. The island was considered the 2nd most beautiful island in South America by TripAdvisor. All the island is filled with lush tropical rainforest, clear water beaches, coral reefs and mangroves.

Atlantic Forest South-East Reserves
The Atlantic Forest South-East Reserves are located in the Brazilian states of Paraná and São Paulo and extend over nearly 470,000 hectares, representing one of the largest and best-preserved domains of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, and one of the most threatened biomes of the world. The protected areas that constitute the site contain great biological wealth and are a good illustration of the evolution of the rare remnants of Atlantic Forest of South-eastern Brazil. The region, which has a large number of rare and endemic species, is exceptionally varied. The site also has an exceptional aesthetic interest, with its altitudinal gradient ranging from mountains to the sea, its estuary, wild rivers, coastal islands, numerous waterfalls and karst phenomena.
Araucária Forest in the Southern Plateau - Santa Catarina
The Araucaria moist forest are a coniferous forest ecoregion of the Atlantic Forest Biome. The forest ecosystem is located in southern Brazil and northeastern Argentina. The ecorregion also includes select areas of open field called "campos de cima da serra" or "coxilhas" (highland fields).
