Renderings of Oakton station which will be a new infill station being constructed on the Yellow Line. The station will be the first new stop added since the route opened by CTA in 1964 as the “Skokie Swift” and will provide easy rapid transit access to downtown Skokie and the Illinois Science + Technology Park.

The CTA is testing the 5000-series rail cars on the Green, Blue, Orange, and Brown Lines.
These cars will have new propulsion systems, regenerative braking technology, and an improved layout & design.
Renderings of the reconstructed Cermak-Chinatown Station. This renovation should modernize the station and bring it up to ADA standards, as well as add aditional faregates.
Rendering of the proposed remodal/renovation for the Grand/State station. This will make the station ADA compliant, add escalators, and add an expanded mezzanine with new Customer Assistant kiosk and more turnstiles and farecard vending machines.
Map of the proposed Metra STAR Line which will directly serve the outlying suburbs without entering Chicago. The route consists of the median of the Northwest Tollway (I-90) and along the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern (EJ&E) railroad corridor.
It is proposed that this rail corridor will be served by Diesel Multiple Units.
