Kapag ‘to nagbukas at uwian galing sa holiday, baka umabot yung traffic sa Northern Quadrant ng TPLEX (places like Pugo, La Union and Tuba, Benguet.) Yun ang possible worst case scenario.

They are probably hoping the San Juan Extension gets approved soon. But the government hasn't approved it yet and approval is projected next year pa so it will probably a solid 2 years of traffic jams if they don't mitigate this impending holiday doomsday scenarios.haha

Thats good to know. If maihabol tuloy tuloy sa construction ang SMC as long as my ROW available of course.

Whats the next exit Agoo ba? If may isa pang exit for Ilocos region peeps di na siguro masyado bottleneck sa rotunda na yan

TPLEx Extension from Rosario, La Union to San Juan, La Union is included under the list of the pipeline projects under the Build Build Build #Buildbuildbuild Program of the Duterte Administration. It will soon be for Government Approval.
If approved, construction will commence in 2021 and will be completed in 2026.

I just heard that the roundabout will be 3 lanes, plus a sidewalk on the outer circumference. The chances that part of the front yard of Shakey's will be in the way just got higher.

Just wondering Avianus and Hugo, if there was already a planned roundabout at the terminus of TPLEX, why was Shakey's plan to build there was approved in the first place? Ano yun, saka iaadjust pag naitayo na yung building? The management and ROW team should have known better right before approving the construction plan of Shakey's right (heck, even CleanFuel)?

Another thing I heard is the owner of the house beside Shakey's is not cooperating with the ROW turnover. Even with 3 full lanes operational, the roundabout will present a critical bottleneck during long weekends. If less than 3 lanes will be temporarily open in front of the said house while ROW litigation is ongoing, the bottleneck will constrict even more.

I hope the property owner and the project will settle amicably soon for the good of the traveling public.

Some good reading in this link on the power of the state to exercise eminent domain:

The important requisites on the taking of a private property for public use are:

1. for the greater good of the whole community

2. just compensation

Excerpt from the above link:

Another vital requisite for a valid condemnation is the payment of just compensation to the property owner. In the recent case of APO Fruits Corp. v. The Honorable Court of Appeals, just compensation has been defined as “the full and fair equivalent of the property taken from its owner by the expropriator”, and that the gauge for computation is not the taker’s gain but the owner’s loss. In order for the payment to be “just”, it must be real, substantial, full and ample.

I mean, yung sa property valuation? Kasi ito yung sabi mo:

Quote:

Merry Christmas from Master Dim: Rosario-Pozorrubio Aerial Segment

Good news: Looks like 99.99999999999999% of the vital ROW has been secured

Bad news: This will definitely not open this year - Undas 2020 it is

The video covered #TarlacPangasinanLaunionExpressway #TPLEX from Rosario which will the be the current terminus NB towards Sison and ending up at the current operating Pozorrubio interchange. The Rosario junction directly ends up in front of Rosario Pugo Road (towards Marcos Highway) while the Sison Interchange is along Poblacion Norte, then after Sison it traverses towards Bgy Bobonan Pozorrubio segment. Approximately 13km or more.. (based on the measurement i have covered) this is the last segment of TPLEX which was originally planned. An extension will probably be in the works soon after this. Once this opens, no need to pass the MacArthur Highway portion of Sison towards the narrow Bued Bridge as travelers will now pass the TPLEX Bued Viaduct.

Special thanks to Private Infra Dev Corp. - PIDC and SMC Tollways
