A statement true inner city apartment by DGM Group, Christchurchs pre-eminent city apartment developer.

Wilson and Hill Architects were consulted to complete the design concept and have delivered a brilliant project that will be an integral part of our city scape.

Designed and engineered to industry standards and building code requirements, West Kilmore features a central lift with options of single level 360 degree whole floor 3 bedroom, 2 living lifestyle apartments, or a mix of 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments.

Each apartment will feature extra height ceilings, open plan living and kitchen area, spacious bedrooms with built in wardrobe facilities, tiled bathrooms, and onsite parking. The executive full floor apartment will have some bespoke options to meet a buyers requirements.

The location in the preferred inner north west city quadrant is outstanding. Cranmer Square is 40m to the west with Hagley Park beckoning for its multiple attractions, sporting fixtures, events, festivals and concerts.

The refurbished Town Hall and new Convention Centre , Christchurch Casino, Victoria Precinct, hospitality, cafes, exciting CBD and the shopping experiences only add to the attractiveness of this apartment and location. The further benefit of multiple public and private school options will further enhance the underlying value of these apartments. The recent completion of the adjoining sold out projects by the DGM Group of the Rakaia Apartments at 50 Kilmore street, Dorset townhouses at 110 Park Terrace, and the almost sold out Juno at 36 Cranmer Square underpins the trend and growth of inner city living.

Price from $495,000 for a 1 bedroom and $995,000 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom spacious apartment. Information packs and details are available by http://www.propertyfiles.co.nz/property/RD4933, or by contacting Mark to meet you on site at 52 Kilmore St. Construction is imminent with completion date mid-2019
Interesting, it says construction is imminent (about to happen), we should keep a sharp eye on this one, might see construction start very soon!

Probably the best option to reduce the size by half and get it started with the back sloping block could be built later on when demand permits. Wish it could have been 11 floors high though like the original.

Agreed. I think we all knew the height decrease was going to happen, while the area next to it stays empty it'll be hard to convince people to live there.

In the weekend press, there was a full page feature on the West Kilmore with prices for each apartment type and a large render of the finished project.
Hopefully they can get some more units sold so that the construction can get underway later in the year.

Great to see a small office on site and a new billboard to promote this project again on Kilmore St. Its been an empty site for a long time. Also the Verve site has been very quiet lately as well any one know how well the sales are going?

I saw the billboard with a "31 of 60 sold" so they are slowly getting sold off.

Yes the Verve has been stuck on 31 sold for a long time.

This article says:

Most units in the West Kilmore apartments on Kilmore St had been sold for between $550,000 and $2m.

The proposed Rakaia apartment development next door, currently a Wilsons car park, had been redesigned and would go ahead.

But surely they're got the names back-to-front? Anyway, it sounds like there is a reasonable chance the second building will go ahead

Unfortunately this one has been shelved. Talked to the agent previously selling the apartments and he told me that due to a disagreement between the developer and the land owners it will not be able to proceed. This is a real shame as I really liked this design. Also I was wondering why the billboard has been removed for some time now.

That's really unfortunate, damn right as the apartment market was starting to turn around thanks to investors as well. Damn land disagreements.

At least we'll have the spire going up nextdoor while we wait for another proposal here.

It's very disappointing now we have lost two of the highest proposed buildings for Christchurch the other one being The Verve on Peterborough st. Only tall one left proposed over 10 floors is Cathedral Towers which I have my doubts about now. Luckily it still has the website promoting it.
