I have a suspicion that this is going to be Ayala's development in the Sta. Ana Racetracks

Are they going to build a little city there? I might be very tempted to jump on that one. I missed out on Nuvali.

Oh, this is the project for the former Sta. Ana racetrack.

Looks like developers are trying to outdo each other releasing renderings that depict a canal, some with gondolas and gondoliers like that of McKinley Hill Taguig Venetian Mall and Festival Supermall's expansion.

To date, none of those renderings featuring a canal have come to fruition. We'll wait.

This is it! Great, great news!!! It's worth the long wait.

Hope they next develop the former Colgate Palmolive site, but I'd prefer it to be a top notch school campus.

I am also glad. That area of Makati is under developed. Cheers to that.

yah i agree..dapat madevelop na rin ang Colgate-Palmolive site..sayang yung lot na yun eh..ako naman sana i-develop nila yun for more office spaces..because I think we have plenty of spaces for residential booming almost in every part of Makati..BGC is piling up with a lot of office spaces, residential among others so Makati has to sustain the demands of office hubs..

I agree with you!

They say it's going to be the next Makati. I don't get that. Are they saying a bunch of corporations are going to just leave Makati and move south? Not likely!

But the prices have appreciated in Nuvali big time. So they must be doing something right.

Plus, I want to own land in Makati that's why I want them to sell lots.

Or underground trains to preserve the landscaping on the islands. Love the canal plus bridge and walkways.

Guys, Nuvali is just about 5 years old. At least in such a short span of time, they already have Solenad, the man-made lake, ecoliving center, evozone, some existing residential villages plus others that are fast being developed, and of course you can feed the fishes too. And just outside of Nuvali, there are already existing villages and industrial parks that will be able to sustain economic activities there.

You dont believe that businessmen will move south? Well we wont know for sure. But it did happen once upon a time in Makati. And it could happen again. And from the looks of it, as of this moment, it is somewhat already happening. Starbucks is already there right? hehe..

A brief history of Makati here, particularly the CBD. THis used to be an airport, i think you all know by now, right? And mostly swamplands around it. Then in the 1940s they started developing it, with Forbes Park leading the pack. At that time, people didnt believe that Makati could attract Manilans to relocate there. but about a decade later, Makati started attracting some of the more prominent Manila businessmen to set up their residences there, Ayala set up their offices there, San Lorenzo and Bel Air villages were developed, small industries started to trickle in in the late 50s then more commercial establishments followed. and finally it became a financial center in the 70s, or about 30 years after it was conceived.

Rome wasnt built in a day. Makati wasnt either. And definitely Nuvali wont be too.

But then again, i dont think you can compare this area with Nuvali. Nuvali is a huge development. This would be more comparable to San Lazaro. Both of them were once racetracks. Both of them are from the seedier side of town. Yes Nelly, i hope they sell lots or at least townhouses like what they did in San Lazaro. That would be nice. By the way, a lot of people didnt believe too that they would be able to do it in San Lazaro. An exclusive development (Celadon) near Blumentritt? Along the railroad tracks teeming with squatters at the time? But they did it. Celadon was a hot seller. But admittedly with the help of SM though..
