Can't find a Clippers Quay thread. Thought there was one but doesn't seem to be. New outline application gone in.(found by kids and Comdot) There are other images and a flythrough floating about. I'll add them at alater date. Renders from the outline application. Might take a trip down to the planning office with mi mate. (renders and interesting info below)

08/55992/FUL

Site Of Former Cinema
Clippers Quay
Salford
M5 2XP

Outline application to include layout, scale and means of access for the demolition of former cinema and erection of 651 residential units and 6,309m2 of commercial floorspace (Classes A1-A5, B1, D2 and sui generis) together with associated vehicular and pedestrian access, car parking and communal gardens (Resubmission of planning application 07/53530/FUL)

That will make some entrance to Salford Quays.

those renders make it look tiny! i looked through the elevations and the thing is an absolute mammoth...

there are some interesting documents in the planning app. shame they are each up to 250mb, well worth downloading though. i used some downloading software from - http://www.speedbit.com/ to download it all.

The junction this building sits on is really confusing. I think the scale of this building will help make the area that bit more user friendly.

There is one but it not on its own for reasons stuck in the past.

Found one. Cannot believe these haven't been posted before?

Am sure I've seen them! I think top is new, bottom 3 are older.

it may when built hold the record for largest non-social housing residential building in britain. i'm not positive though. that would really be quite an achievement!

Hopefully this won't be too far off now.

Realignment of the approved building layout in order to enable the retention of the adjacent subway that runs under Trafford Road. Issues with flooding as well.

how many times do they want to tinker with the application lol. looking forward to the submission of a full planning application not just more revisions of the already approved outline application.

Nice One Ferge. Are you inferring that this would be office led, rather than residential.

Does anybody have the guile to call Martin Canning to try and glean some further info?: http://www.manchester-offices.co.uk/...-salford-quays

Nominate: VDB
