Incheon Chinatown~^^

Pictures from Naver Enjoy Japan~ By the way, anybody here go to Enjoy Korea/Japan?

I remember when I went to Incheon Chinatown couple years ago, I almost got lost because there were so many people and is fairly big in size when you go there personally.

Wow, the Incheon Chinatown looks really nice and organized. I wasn't aware there were that many Chinese living in Incheon, what is the estimated number anyway?

Ah, not that many when you consider Incheon has a total population of 2.4 million (according to Wikipedia...)

But it's really cool that there are so many cultural buildings and even a wall which I assume briefly talks about Chinese history.

we should mention a new planned China town in Incheon city -'rich valley '

It would be one of the best Chinatown in the world.

Nope. If you check the statistics thread I posted not long ago, Incheon has a total of 31,898 registered foreign residents. There are 8,198 PRC Chinese and 2,901 Taiwanese, so that's 11,099 registered ethnic Chinese in total. Also, there are 1,884 Phillipinos, 1,616 Thais, 2,062 Vietnamese, 2,309 Indonesians, 1,729 Bangladeshians(is this right?) and 948 Uzbeks. The numbers aren't as great as Seoul city proper(64,762 PRC Chinese and 8,899 Taiwanese), but still it's the second largest Chinese community in South Korea.

11,099 might not be entirely accurate, because many of them can be ethnic Koreans with PRC citizenship.

Oh, and I just saw in an article that a "world class" Taiwanese dumpling restuarant chain opened up just across the PRC embassy. It's called 鼎泰豊, have you heard of it Pangu?

Yes as a matter of fact I have, though I haven't had the chance to dine there though.

Isn't 鼎泰豊 a famous Shanghai dumpling restaurant? Is it the same chain?
