It's amazing how it seems to be the same traffic going past during the Sentinals many transgressional stages......what are the chances of that

The traffic is probably frozen in shock - time has stood still down there below, you know! Where the tower is staggering with the pint glass in hand is probably the most dangerous bit of all - that's enough to close down the entire centre!

Nope - it's from the Selfridges building!

That pic was inspired by a dream I had one time - true - wherein I gazed up at the Sentinels and they started to bow outwards and all of a sudden a bridge appeared at a great height up connecting the two. Then this girl started swinging on a trapeze upside down suspended from the bridge. It were surreal I tell you.

Nope. Me neither. I guess that will never happen.

Black Country towers to fall Aug 9 2005

Two tower blocks in Walsall have been approved for demolition in the latest phase of a regeneration project.

The board of Central Walsall Housing Trust gave the go-ahead to plans to demolish Scrimshaw House and Taylor House, at Pleck, which means all six tower blocks on the site are to come down.

Stansbury House and Marshall House have already been cleared, and the housing trust is helping the last remaining tenant to find an alternative property, and those living in Darby House and Wesley House are in the process of moving to new accommodation.

The housing trust is now helping people living in Scrimshaw House and Taylor House to find suitable new homes before the blocks are made secure, ready for demolition.

Gary Fulford, chief executive of Central Walsall Housing Trust, commented: "It's excellent news that approval has now been given for the demolition of all six tower blocks at Pleck.

"The area deserves major regeneration and clearing the site will mean that we can continue to work with residents to decide how the whole area should be developed in the years to come."

Oh cool they're all being blown up. That should be quite a sight coz they're quite a close little cluster of 6 blocks, four of them 17 storeys and the remaning two 12 storeys. I have got pictures of them but this is the only one I can find at the moment.
