Some pics from today, fairly quick ones. Northern crane was being lifted, part of Waymouth cut off to traffic, you can see the construction blokes up in the collar of the crane.

how different will it be driving up king william rd and rather than seeing santos in front, u see waymouth!

need another taller one - heard a rumor that one of the other city central proposals was gaining height (either hotel or apartments) up from 60m to Y metres. whatever that hight is. but still - pretty cool

uh like 2 months ago on one of the posts in these forums somehwer in the SA section. and actually discoverd that im incorrect - emporis listed both as 80m tall, so again the improvement should be up to 100m. all i remebr was that the height increase was 20m, and was for one of the city central developments.

2nd photo (blurred one) the render shows the building to be significantly higher then what i thought it should be. if santos is 135m, that render has got to be at least 100m tall rather than 84.5m as the builders suggest.

if i work out correctly and guessing that each floor is about 3.5m in height, gd floor being 4.5m, should come out at 81.5m plus 3m blade. so 84.5m - mabye renders are a little exaggerated.

No, it's fine mate.

It's just the angle that makes it look that tall in comparison to Santos.

The angle also makes it look as tall as the GPO clock tower, when it will actually be 60+ metres taller.

They are awesome renders, but there is one clear 'error' in the 3rd one. Look how much higher it is than the education/admin building on east VIC sqaure (or whatever its called) those two ugly old ones right next to each other. To be taht real the view is coming from arounf 150m at least! But I certainly like those renders, and also the one thats gunna replace the old advertiser, looks a lilttle taller in parts.

Great pics Pants. New renders look excellent. The one looking from Victoria Square is great. Glad to see the old Advertiser building won't be a complete blank wall on the southern side as suggested in the 1st City Central concept render. At least there will be some glass to break it up a bit. Could be a bit hard on the eye that part. Eventually the next office building proposed atop the northern part of the GPO might block that out a bit. If it goes ahead at all.

The inside renders are also very good. Skeletor, I too noticed that in the 3rd pic. It is definately overdone but hey if I was building such a building I would go over the top with some renders as well. Let's not forget they are still trying to lease space in the building so they are bound to go over the top a bit This is definately a benchmark building for Adelaide. The glass atrium is an excellent feature. I'm sure it will attract more tenants easily. It would be a terrific environment to go to work in, would make going to work a joy

PS Dark clouds over the old Advertiser building in that pic are good too, it's days are over

Yeah, they're great. Very similar to the type of multi-floored open-plan spaces that you find in Hong Kong and Tokyo office buildings. Not so common In Oz.

Along with that large cafeteria/meeting place, you'd never have to leave the building.

Really does lok like a great building but in the renders it does not look 84m but then they show it next to santos.
