Here are italian plates. This is the new version that came out for the EU. They were not supposed to have the province initials you see on the right hand blue lable, but since we always had province initial clearely stated on our plates there were a general protest on that issue, so the governement decided to make them the way you see here.
So we are the only EU contry having two blue lables instead of one!

Greetings from Italy

I agree that some NA licence plates can be really over the top with the graphics and stupid little tag lines, but some of them can be really nice as well, nicer than the plain black/white European ones. Like for example, I really like Colorado's licence plate. Simple, no stupid graphics or text, plus it looks nice with the color of my car.

An interesting article....wow, I've never seen Kentucky's plate before. Maybe that's a good thing.

Oh come on they are really terrible and you know it why just not keep it real simple. The Colorado ones you are showing are still acceptable but i would still much prefer normal european ones

How are they terrible?? Sure some like kentucky are aboslutely crap, but then there are others like Ontario, BC, and New York that look perfectly fine. Nicer than the boring european ones. I don't get why so many european feel its classy to be boring.

Kentucky´s plate looks great.

BTW, as far as I see, we have got some of the ugliest plates here in Colombia. Let me show you samples from a couple of locations. These pictures were taken by Don Pacho, one of our forumers.

This one belongs to a Venezuelan car taken in one of our cities. The most common foreign cars her in Colombia come from Venezuela, and Ecuador, whose plates are also kind of white, not very nice-looking either.

Our Colombian diplomat plates are very nice though. Thay come in some sort of shinny dark blue with white writing. Public transportation plates are white and black. There are some other green ones which are not very popular, and even some red ones which God knows their use, and which are extremely rare.

Well I'm an avid skier and mountains are in my blood, from Poland to Colorado, so anywhere I can show them off is fine by me. Like I said, European plates are alright, and better than some plates like the Kentucky one, but there's nothing like the satisfaction you get with showing off your mountain plates in flat states like Nebraska and Iowa.

^American license plates are very beautifull (some of them), no doubt.

But the fact is that european plates are much easier to read, and do their job much better, although they may look boring to some.

Looks pretty good, actually, although the font could be better..
