This is view of Strahov tunnel south portal at Smíchov near Anděl. Under us begins Mrázovka tunnel.
.

This view is from the opposite side, so we can see Mrázovka tunnel north portal and under us is Strahov tunnel south portal.

Mrázovka tunnel is 1004m long, Strahov tunnel 2000m (exactly), both have two tubes.

I like the fact that they went with tunnels, rather than fly pass or overpass, which are ugly and look out of place..

it is brilliant work, very nice...

Yes you're right, commies wanted to build normal highway and demolished half of Smíchov district instead of building the Mrázovka tunnel, thanks God they're gone.

And I'm lookinkg forward to not so far future, best and longest tunnels in Prague are being prepared.

Great job kokpit!

Just to add some more information about tunnels on western section of the Prague Inner Ring...

Zlichovsky Tunel, 200 meters (finished 2002)

Driving north out of Barrandov Bridge the inner ring goes next to the Vltava river and then through 200 meter Zlichovsky Tunnel which cuts under the rail tracks.

Zlichovsky tunnel is the short one on the left side of this image, on the right is the Mrazovka Tunnel.

Bridge in front of the tunnel entrance

This is exit out of the short tunnel and road toward Mrazovka Tunel

Tunel Mrazovka, length 1004 meters (built between 1999 - 2004)

See Kokpit's great images above.

Strahovsky Tunnel, length 2000 meters (built between 1985-1997)

Read more information about it above from Kokpit's posts.

Malovanka - Pelc Tyrolka, length 5 895 meters (in planning stages)

Following the construction of Malovanka intersection, which is the above ground exit from Smichov Tunel (See Kokpit's images above).

This section of the Prague Inner Ring has a lenth of 5 895, which is designed to be primarily in tunnels. Preliminary observation tunnel shaft is already under construction and the full scale construction should begin soon.

section 9515 Myslbekova - Prašný most (length 915 meters)
section 0080 Prašný most - Špejchar (length 660 meters)
section 0079 Špejchar - Pelc Tyrolka (length 4320 meters)

This image shows exit out of the tunel in Letna near Sparta Prague Stadium.

And this one shows exit at the end of the tunel after going under Vltava river.

Tunnel Overview

Completed Tunnels

Zlichovsky Tunel, length 200 meters (Finished 2002)
Tunel Mrazovka, length 1004 meters (built between 1999 - 2004)
Smichov Tunel, length 2000 meters (built between 1985-1997)

Planned Tunnels

section 9515 Myslbekova - Prašný most (length 915 meters)
section 0080 Prašný most - Špejchar (length 660 meters)
section 0079 Špejchar - Pelc Tyrolka (length 4320 meters)

Enjoy!
