Well, sounds enthusiastic at least. I've lost track of proposals now, maybe that's a good thing... but with none of them seemingly off the drawing boards, it's getting me anxious.

So this is confirmation that this project has been re designed and all 4 towers are also now the same height. Any figures for the height jrb, would guess they are all around the 80m mark?

Here's my quick judgement..i don't know what to make of them.. no matter how ugly the fairhurst towers were, these are worse! I liked their fanning formation but there's no variety in these...why are they all the same height?

Going back to something I mentioned the other day about lack of privacy in new apartments: It seems the windows here stare directly at each other. When you look out of the window you'll see ugly naked guy and nothing else.

Perhapse this is unavoidable in New York, but not inSalford Quays.

I think these are a MASSIVE improvement instead of the damn stingrays! (thanks farsight). But they´re still to similiar. With the identical NVs in front it all seems too conform and boring.

Any news on this baby??

Then things will really start rollin...

What a pity. The original Fairhursts scheme had real character. At least this scheme retains the desire to integrate these towers with the pedestrian environment at ground floor and create active frontages.

Any indication as to materials? Any colour renders?

This scheme is symptomatic of the lack of any masterplanning of the quays and very much in the tradition of the NV buildings of discrete, self contained developments. Hopefully the advent of an apparently well planned and pedestrian friendly mediacity with see an end to this unfortunate characteristic once and for all.

Just read the proposals and it seems we have an interesting mix of apartment types. The breakdown is as follows:

184no Smart Pads (16%)
668no 1 Bedroom Apartments (57%)
208no 2 Bedroom Apartments (18%)
104no Large 2 Bedroom Apartments (9%)

Total Number of Units 1164

This must be the 2nd biggest scheme in the region after Green Quarter.

I much prefer the old sloping roof design.

looks ok - but 4 exact same buildings exactly the same height is just silly..they should increase in height.. 17, 23, 29, 35....its still 104 floors...that how id design em anyways.
