That is pretty damn impressive as far as I am concerned. I would love to see Met 3 on that list too

ELEMENT? IS ELEMENT UNDER CONSTRUCTION? YOU KNOW THAT TURNBERRY BUILDING IN SUNNY ISLES IS THE UGLIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WAS AT THE INTRACOASTAL MALL THE OTHER DAY AND IT IS MIND BOGGLING HOW UGLY IT IS. THERE ARE ALMOST NO WINDOWS ON THE WEST FACADE AND THE ARCH AT THE TOP IS SO HORRIBLY PROPORTIONED. IT REALLY TAKES SUNNY ISLES DOWN A FEW PEGS, AND NOW THEY ARE BUILDING ANOTHER ONE? GOOD GOD

Also, has Aqualina ever actually opened? It was "finished" a year ago but seems like its been closed ever since.

Mileageman, My friend, Thanks for a Great list !!!

BUT, I'm still sticking with www.Emporis.com

on 900 Biscayne Bay Condo tower to be completed in Late 2008 at 65 floors at 712 feet. Its official with them and the 2007 World Almanac Book of Facts by the New York Times best seller.

The link below is the original plan filed with the city of Miami for 900 biscayne, it says that the building is 696 feet at the roof, 740 feet at the top of the feature:

http://egov.ci.miami.fl.us/Legistarw...ents/16911.PDF

However this article says:

The Terra Group had designs on a 700-foot 900 Biscayne Bay project, but settled for one that was only 649 feet. Developer David Martin said it wasn't worth the time wrangling with the FAA to go higher.

It's great to see so many 'scrapers going up in the 500' to 600'+ range. Hopefully we'll see some new ones going up that'll exceed that height range soon!

You have to host them on a website like www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com. Once you register for one of these sites, uploading pictures is pretty easy.

Great pics!! I havn't been to South Florida in a couple of years and its shocking to see so many 'scrapers going up in such a small area. Miami is finally getting the "big city" skyline it has so long deserved, but never really had until recently. Now Watchovia won't look so lonely anymore.

The future heights of these buildings is impressive, too. Jax's skyline has been pretty much unchanged for about the past 20-30 years. At one time during that era, Jax probably had the most impressive downtown skyline in the state when Modis (then Independant Life) and BellSouth were built. Now, Jax's skyline could get lost in Miami's. Unbelievable! The only thing that would make me even happier is for there to be a couple, or more, 800'+ beauties going up.
