Man it's tall now, and it's only half done, maybe less than half.

I feel less than half. The fact of the matter is that there is no solid answer as how high exactly this building will reach. It may be 808m or it may be 1011m.

As this new part 27 commences, let us not forget here that the total height is a secret. I feel the posted 808m by the powers that be is not the real figure.

Over on the other website, Skytower has given us information on the Besix director overseeing the concrete pour and he claims for a higher concrete section. We need to see if it actually goes higher than floor 156. It won't be long before we get to see if it clears 586m. Lots of details, which I'll leave out. I mentioned these details in the latter pages of part 26. Please find my post in the final pages of part 26.

In short Besix professor is calling for a 647m concrete core.

Over at Dubaimegaprojects and Skyscraperpage they are measuring the current height at 441m. Here, the prevailing measurement is 415m. There seams to be a dispute as from where the 441m are measured. Dubaimegaprojects has the basement levels at 15.2m below true grade level. That means that if BD is measured from the raft then it would be around 430m high. So we have a missing 11m here. This building may indeed be 441m off grade level. Dubaimegaprojects claims a GPS measurement by Emaar and/or Besix.

Present height? Probably subject to interpretation but it does look to me clearly taller than the former Twin Towers and 2IFC in Hong Kong.

I hope Part 27 brings more and newer information.

I love this picture, check out that mall, and all the construction stuff everywhere. Is that the base of the lake to the upper right of BD?

Spectacular shot.

I agree Beyond 1000, I actually think this will reach over 1km, that's the 'secret' so to speak IMO.

^Well above ground...415m...including basement levels 441m.

And can we please stop the dumb discussion about this thing being over 1000m, everytime beyond 1000 comes on here he starts that whole conspiracy theory, without any proof or hard evidence, stop fantasing dude...back to the building, I also wanted to know where the lake was going to be built/.

It doesnt matter if it is gonna be 705 Metres high or 1011 Metres, it beats the competition by a margin only rivaled by the economic boom of New York in the 30`s of the previous century. And that should be celebrated.

Nice pictures but the whole place looks like one big construction wasteland. I wonder what it will look like when everything is cleaned up and all the equipment is packed away.
