Don't worry about traffic, Riga Dome will sort it out - Northern Crossing and Southern Bridge will empty the Vansu Bridge

Not only this - there will start reconstruction of Daugavgrivas Street in 2009 - project looks very impressive!!! Reconstruction will go along Ztowers as well - and I have feeling that street will be located a bit above the underground car parking of Ztowers as well.

Currently workers have made big and deep hole in place of one Ztower - looks very impressive!!

Is that a helipad on top of the highest tower?

Why do they need a helipad on top of a office/hotel tower?

And why not? This will be exclusive hotel. Driving 7 km to airport by car can take some hours due to traffic jams - thus helicopter is exclusive way to deal with this problem. May top-level businessman can be interested in this in case of necessity.

Maybe I should change my decision to call Ellipse apartments my favorite out of Riga highrises, which currently have their own threads in this section. Though top of these towers should be different, they only spoil everything.

This version looks much better. Those with tops somewhy remind me of Moscow or Istanbul.

I can't actually think of other hotels in Europe where that is used but like the idea.

I think the hotel will be in the lower tower - the one without the helipad. The higher tower will be rented for offices afaik.

There are several more buildings with helipads planned in Riga. Rietumu banka has it almost built - on the lower part, car parking lot. Mezaparks Plaza will have it as well on top of one or two of their highrises.
