From the Polish section, some seat covers are coming off and the field is being ripped up so they can make the final version.

Can someone explain what they are doing? I know that on the 19th there will be a concert, so I know they're not putting down a new field.

They are putting a new field, then it will be covered with special panels - only below stage they will put a new field after the concert.

Strange, I hope the field will be unbroken after the concert Hopefully Sting fans aren't going to jump during the show ;p

Undoubtly the all mess we could see here, I mean the pitch, is quite strange.
Talking about field - those fans are rather be seating than jumping since there will be seats over the panels.
What is an issue: will the grass survive under those panels?

The issue is more likely to come from laying strips of turf rather than growing the pitch from seed, because it will struggle to bed in properly, as i'm sure it will be used soon after the new pitch is laid.

I would imagine that if there is a longish summer close season next year they will grow a new pitch from seed which will be of a much better, long lasting, quality.

I read that there are many many issues with this stadium that UEFA are not happy with at all.
26 page document needs addressing if the stadium is to pass their criteria.

According to this they still have a lot of work. I doubt the interior will be completely completed before the opening.
