I had a very pleasant stop off in Calgary on my way to Seattle last month. It's a city I've long wanted to visit and it most certainly didn't disappoint.

I went hiking recently to Kananaskis, it was a medium difficulty hike, nothing too complicated. We didn't get to the very top, however we got high enough (latitude high) to experience some amazing views.

Built to service the coal mines on the south side of the Red Deer river valley, the East Coulee bridge is an amazing piece of history. Unusual and rare in design it was used both by trains and vehicular traffic on a common shared roadway.
