Mysuru engineers to set up biogas plants in Fiji
Technology developed in the country for the production of kitchen-waste biogas will soon be implemented in the island-nations of Fiji and Vanuatu. Mysuru-based National Institute of Engineering’s Centre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies (NIE-Crest) will implement two indigenous technology-based projects in the two South Pacific countries.
According to Prof SS Shamasundar (in pic), leader of the Crest team, the project was proposed to these islands following the threat of global warming that could lead to the merger of seas in coming days.
The centre is developing the technology to set up biogas plants in correction centres (prisons) of Suva, the capital of Fiji. The proposed project is being developed with the capacity of converting one tonne of waste into biogas on 5,000 acres of land. The proposed project will be developed in collaboration with SES Consultants, New Zealand. The project will be completely funded by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Government of Vanuatu will set up similar plants in a college campus. The plant will supply fuel to 60 per cent of cooking requirement of the college. The authority of island has already approved the project, which will start in the next three months. Experts from the centre have completed feasibility studies.
Crest has already set up such plants in the Mysore Zoo (1.5 tonne capacity), Town Municipality of Pawagada, Hindustan Uniliver Limited campus in Mysore, Bapuji Institute of Technology in Davanagere and Boys Hostel in NIE College, Mysuru. The centre has also set up a plant that coverts organic waste into electricity at Oxygen Acres at Chikkahalli in Mysuru.
The centre has also developed 100 such plants in several districts across Karnataka. Regular units of biogas for household purposes are available for Rs 25,000 to 35,000 with two variants of plastic and steel drums that can give out three hours of fuel per a day from 2.5 Kg of organic waste.
Economics worked in India’s favour
Speaking about the technology, Prof SS Shamasundar said, “This is going to be the future. It is eco-friendly and a one-time investment that will last for several years to come. The major reason behind the green signal for the project is that third world countries can afford our costs. Other countries have also been offering the technology.
But the expenditure for our plants is just about a fourth of those developed by others.”
Fiji’s connection with India
Fiji, the island located to the north of New Zealand, has a population of about 9 lakh, out of which 37 per cent are of Indian origin. Fiji, which was under the British Raj,
had thousands of Indians migrating there. When the British Raj ended in the island, Indians who had migrated from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra were left behind.

On wheels: Tipu Sultan’s armoury on the move

Mysuru: In a first of its kind operation in the country, 40 Indian and six foreign workers, besides officers of the South Western Railways are participating in the translocation of a 228-year-old armoury that belonged to the Tiger of Mysore, Tipu Sultan.
The translocation that will be carried out using the Unified Jacking System developed by an Indo- American company, PLF-Wolfe , is expected to cost Rs 13 crore and will clear 20 meters of the railways’ doubling line project between Mysuru and Bengaluru.
“By March 4 the rollers will be inserted under the beams and the armoury moved to a temporary new location. It will be moved to its permanent location, 100 meters away from its present site, by May,” said sources.
Said to one of the eight built by Tipu Sultan, the armoury is a protected monument under the Department of Heritage, Archaeology and Museum. Used for storing gun powder, and military equipment, it was built with lime and stone mortar, using a processed mixture of eggs with shells, jaggery, and soap nut, going by heritage expert, Eechanur Kumar.
“It is a rare experience for us to do work of this magnitude. The foreign engineer involved in the project said he had never seen a structure as hard as this one. Although the technology involved has been around in the USA for over a century, it is being used for the first time in India,” said an engineer working on the project.
With the armoury’s shifting, the doubling of the railway line over 132 kms will be completed by the end of April and the new tracks commissioned by May, 12 years after the project began, according to South Western Railway sources
The railways received clearance from DHAM and the Archaeological Survey of India to shift the armoury when Mr Mallikarjun Kharge was the railway minister in 2014. While the Institution of Engineers suggested its translocation in one piece, the first tender did not receive any response. Finally, the tender was finalised by the end of 2014 and the work on the translocation was commissioned on January 8 this year.
But the delay over land acquisition, allocation of funds and translocation of Tipu’s armoury has proved costly for the railways as the cost of the doubling work has shot up from around Rs 440 crores in 2005 to Rs 880 crore now.
The doubling of the line is expected to cut travel time by 15 minutes for passenger trains between the two cities.

ಮುಂಬರುವ ''ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಟೆಕ್ ಸಮ್ಮಿಟ್ 2021'' ರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 'ದಿ ಬಿಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ ಶೋ' ಎಂಬ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಐಟಿ /ಐಟಿಇಎಸ್, ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಪ್ರೊಸೆಸಿಂಗ್ ಔಟ್ ಸೋರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ (ಬಿಪಿಒ), ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ ಡಿಸೈನ್ ಮ್ಯಾನುಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಚರಿಂಗ್ (ಇಎಸ್ ಡಿಎಂ) ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮೂರನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಟೆಲಿಕಾಂ ವಲಯದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಯ ಶೇ.30 ರಷ್ಟು, ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಎಕಾನಮಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ 2025 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 100 ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ ಶೋನಲ್ಲಿ 'ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್' ಉಪಕ್ರಮ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂನ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಿಷನ್ ನ ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ 2026 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ 10,00,000 (ನೇರ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೋಕ್ಷ) ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಲಿದೆ.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಲಾಂಚ್ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಸ್ಪೋಕ್ ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂನ ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್ ಜಿಸಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಈಗ ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಬರುವ 5 ಹೊಸ ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಆಯ್ದ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಭೇರುಂಡಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಐಎಸ್ಎಸಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಕಿಟ್ ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಎಂವೇರ್ ನಡುವೆ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಐಟಿ-ಬಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ ಟಿಯ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಡಾ.ಇ.ವಿ.ರಮಣ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ, "ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆಚೆಗಿನ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಪರಿಸರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವಿದೆ. ಈ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆ, ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪೋಕ್ ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವತ್ತ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 2026 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ 10,00,000 (ನೇರ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೋಕ್ಷ) ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವುದು ಇದರ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಐಟಿ, ಐಟಿಇಎಸ್, ಬಿಪಿಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಲಯದಿಂದ ಲಾಭಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ 2 ಮತ್ತು 3 ನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತರುವ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಎಕಾನಮಿ ಮಿಷನ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಿ.ವಿ. ನಾಯ್ಡು ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ದಶಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಫ್-ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರವು ಅನೇಕ ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಫ್ ಶೋರ್ ಹಬ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಈಗ ಈ ಹಬ್ ಗಳನ್ನು "ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರ" ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ ಗಳು, ಮೈಸೂರು, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಪೋಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವ ಸಮಯ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರವು ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಟ್ಯಾಲೆಂಟ್ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಈ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

McKinsey & Company ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಪಾರ್ಟ್ನರ್ ಅಲೋಕ್ ಶ್ರೀಸಾಗರ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, 2025 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ '1 ಟ್ರಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆ'ಯ ವಾಸ್ತವತೆಯು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಂತಹ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಸ್ಪೋಕ್ ಶೋರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದಂತಹ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಲಂಬಿತವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. . ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ 13,500 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳು ವೈಟಿಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಢವಾದ ಪರಿಸರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ದೃಢವಾದ ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವ್ಯೂಹಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೀತಿ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯವು 1 ಟ್ರಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಟ್ಯಾಪ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಹಲವಾರು ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದ ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಯಲ್ ಪ್ಯಾಲೇಸ್ನ ಯದುವೀರ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣದತ್ತ ಚಾಮರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಅವರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಭಾರತದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಮುಂಬರುವ ''ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಟೆಕ್ ಸಮ್ಮಿಟ್ 2021'' ರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 'ದಿ ಬಿಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ ಶೋ' ಎಂಬ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಐಟಿ /ಐಟಿಇಎಸ್, ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಪ್ರೊಸೆಸಿಂಗ್ ಔಟ್ ಸೋರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ (ಬಿಪಿಒ), ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ ಡಿಸೈನ್ ಮ್ಯಾನುಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಚರಿಂಗ್ (ಇಎಸ್ ಡಿಎಂ) ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮೂರನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಟೆಲಿಕಾಂ ವಲಯದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
"ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು" ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ಸ್, ಐಟಿ, ಬಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಟಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ತಿಂಗಳ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೊದಲ 'ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು' ಸಮಾವೇಶವು ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ದಶಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಬಹುರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯ ತಾಣವಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದೆ. ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂನ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆಚೆಗಿನ ನಗರಗಳಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಲವಾರು ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಈ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರಕವಾದ ಪರಿಸರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಹಲವಾರು ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಇದು ಎರಡನೇ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐಟಿ/ಜಿಸಿಸಿ/ಇಎಸ್ ಡಿಎಂ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಂದ ವರ್ಕ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಯ ಶೇ.30 ರಷ್ಟು, ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಎಕಾನಮಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ 2025 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 100 ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಗ್ ಟೆಕ್ ಶೋನಲ್ಲಿ 'ಸ್ಪೋಕ್-ಶೋರ್' ಉಪಕ್ರಮ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಕೆಡಿಇಎಂನ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಿಷನ್ ನ ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಜಿಸಿಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ 2026 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ 10,00,000 (ನೇರ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೋಕ್ಷ) ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಲಿದೆ.
ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ಮೈಸೂರು, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 2026 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ 5000 ಐಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಆತಿಥ್ಯ ವಹಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
