Marrakesh under the stars

Life in Marrakesh doesn't stop at nightfall. Once the sun sets, another festive magic invades the imperial city.

Take a twilight stroll around the Place Jemaa El Fna, Marrakesh's busy centre. You will find an exotic and medieval atmosphere with storytellers, jugglers, animal leaders and, above all, fire-eaters whose flaming jets rip through the Moroccan night to the sounds of traditional music. A unique experience, a trip back in time impossible to share elsewhere.

Gaming table and gastronomy

Don't hesitate to spend an elegant evening catching the gambling fever at the casino. Enjoy, too, the many cabarets shows that are staged there. When thinking about dining or supping, don't forget that Marrakesh's traditional cooking is among the best in the kingdom and that there are excellent French, Italian or Asiatic restaurants...It's up to you to choose according to your mood...
Before and after

After dinner pursue your enjoyment by taking advantage of Marrakesh's pubs and nightclubs with your friends. You will always be warmly welcomed and you will have no trouble finding a spot, lit by the dim glow of cleverly placed candles, to watch the sparkling stars in the clear and immense sky. In the Marrakesh night, a new life begins!

Le Churchill

Open late

Set amid idyllic gardens, La Mamounia is one of Marrakesh’s most elegant hotels. Opened in 1923 it is played host to many distinguished guests, including Winston Churchill. He lends his name to the hotel’s bar, Le Churchill, a chic space with a touch of New York jazz club to it. The walls are studded with green leather which is appropriately peppered with photos of glam images of the jazz-age. There is live piano music most nights, the drinks are traditional and very well made and the atmosphere is appealingly old world, a throw back to a more civilized time.

Le Comptoir

Serves food

Le Comptoir is one of the coolest spots in Marrakesh. Excellent food, top notch drinks and abundant atmosphere: what more could one want? Belly dancers writhe and gyrate seductively as diners tuck in to wonderful Moroccan meats and salads. You can either eat in the outdoor Bedouin-style restaurant or upstairs in the opulent lounge bar. On weekends, DJs pick the pace up and the city’s pretty people shake their stuff. Exciting, colourful and atmospheric, this is a must visit.
