This is one of the many blocks I had on my wish list to have a tower built on! :cheers2:

As I stated elsewhere: Nice location to the Convention Center, easy connection to the skyways. Be nice to add a hotel component to the project and add some height.

Even nicer if they also bought the property that the skyway actually uses and incorporate it as well.

I mean don't get me wrong 40 stories there would be amazing, but if it's that tall I'd be stunned.
A few years ago this was built up to a possibly be a 1000 footer but considering the way development works around here, we'll be lucky to see another unimpressive 15 story Box!
I think you're thinking of the Century Plaza location.
I predict 38 floors with a spire.Just a guess
Yeah, this will definitely NOT be 6 floors of wood.

Alatus is building a 42 story condo building. LPM nearby is 36 floors. I'd absolutely expect something in that range. You'll want a building at this location to stand out.

I don't think it will be any shorter than the Ivy and will likely be more in line with The Marquette which is 35 floors. I'd love to see something in the 40 story range.
One would think this proposal will not only include residential, but hotel and retail as well. However, common sense isn't common practice when it comes to development in Minneapolis.

The hotel game has changed in the last five years.

Lots of new hotels have opened and big ones like UP Gateway tower are still in limbo.
The article is locked for me. Where exactly is this parcel?
I wouldn't doubt that Alatus goes big on this project, given the location and that they're making smart decisions on their other projects. Why not poach the Four Seasons from United Properties since they're so incredibly inept at even being able to put a shovel in the ground? A mixed use tower with a marquee name like that would be HUGE for this location.
