1930s NYC is why i got into skyscrapers. more accuratley the movie king kong when i was a kid. the soaring towers blew me away.

The true ''Goldern Age'' of city building, Dubai can only wish to be that enchanting and ominous at the same time.
New York City in the 30's was/is the ultimate built city environment, Heaven on Earth for people like us....

I'd love to visit 1930's New York, it was just so ahead of it's time, I mean to have supertalls back then was something.

i dont know how to quote pictures - but i cant believe the picture showing THE FLATIRON DISTRICT how impressive. it looked better then than it does now! i had no idea that part of town was covered in lights. Its so sad to say though - has any1 been to new york city? its becoming such a big fat tourist trap the only places left are downtown districts but even they are being encroached :(

i think everyone who likes skyscrapers idealizes 1930s NY
