Yesterday was the 2007 Salute to Israel Parade. It went from 55th to 79th Sts on 5th Ave. For those who don't know, this was to celebrate the independence of Israel, which it got in 1948. On a sidenote, I was marching in this parade with a group known as Taglit Birthright, a group that brings Jewish college students to Israel for the first time. The first lenght had those who were against it, but the rest of the way was pro-Israel. Here are the pics over at AMNY, and please do not turn this into an Israel-Palestine thread. If I can find more pics, then they will posted here.
