Anyone go? Weather was awesome. The skyline was looking great. 20,000+ participants. I will post some pics of my team as soon as I get some sent to me.

I was there. One of the better races I remember. I don't know if Manny's is open yet, but the smells coming from there were delicious.
I can't count the number of time I heard "Ohhh look at all the new buildings".
Actually that smell was from my company's Paella. Our tent was right by the starting line.
it was stupid the traffic control was horrible

the route chosen was idiotic they made a big circle around brickell and downtown miami and everyone in the middle was stuck and everyone coming in was delayed by hours...

make it up and down one single street that makes sense!

It was the same route used for years. I laughed at all the people who were stuck because this was not a surprise event it was announced beforehand that there would be blocked streets and the race is held every year for the last 15+ years. If you are going to live oblivious to your surroundings or the news then a little alone time in the car for two hours is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Where is this "Manny's" located?
1st Floor of Met 1 facing the East.
Is that Assurant? My friend keeps trying to get me to apply over there.
Yes it is. We came in third place after Baptist and Norwegian Cruise Line for the most participants.

Its a great company, you should definitely look into applying.
its a retarded race and to do it on holocaust memorial day is very offensive...
Have a good night there buddy!
I'll reiterate that it's a race that brought 20,000 people downtown, 3/4 of which haven't been since last year if ever. It was a postcard perfect night and the new buildings shone bright. Events like this are the best commercial you could have for 50 Biscayne or the Plaza.
Side note, drove past the sales office of Paramount Park on NE 2nd Avenue right behind the Metromover line and it appeared to still be open.
Well let's hope that it is still going to happen even if it has been delayed. That would be a great addition to that gap in the skyline between Everglades and Marinablue.

Wooooooww! Here is the one person that has a problem with the Corporate Run!!
The course is pretty much the same as it was in 1993 when I ran my first one...the surroundings are quite different though. It is a great event.
The organizers have gone to such great length to alert the community of traffic closures that just about every office and residential building in Brickell and the CBD have notices on the bulletin boards and in the elevators.

This event does a lot to inspire people to get the hell out of their cars, save an hour or two of commuting time per day and move downtown where the skyscrapers are located.

I don't know how there could be any negative about this, either. Every city has similar events and they usually benefit charities...along with just being plain old fun for the participants. Perhaps the inconvenienced motorists should pay more attention to the news and plan accordingly next time.

I saw an ad for Paramount and they were only advertising the Paramount Bay and Paramount Ocean. I did not see Paramount Park...

You may be absolutely right. I only drove by it while on a chartered bus, so it was rather quickly.
Agreed, I think this is a great event to inspire people to move downtown and to let them see the downtown area that they otherwise wouldn't go to.
I was there as well. Love the walks/runs in dwntwn. Took the metro-rail in from Palmetto station...then hopped on the mover. Loved every part of the adventure, including the walk/run. Wish I could live down there.

Loved the faces on some of the tourists and residents along the route. Lots of people came out. Great event.
