Today I saw in the Docklands paper that there was a exhibition this thurs and friday of a new propsosed development right next door to Pan Pennisula, any way I was nearby so I went and had a look :)

The development is for six interlinked towers of various heights the tallest will have 30 floors approx 100m. the layout is three towers overlooking the dock approx 20 floors, with three more behind a little taller with a fairly large public space in between. The tallest tower will be the one at the back nearest to to Pan P.

The Guy said that they wanted to go taller aka PP but were told by TH that they wouldnt get through plamnning due to the Masterplan which we agreed was out of date and included to many ground scrapers and no public space.

I introduced myself as an Emporis editor and he has promised to send me a high res images and exact agl heights :)

I do have a brochure but the image is very small, i may try and scan it if i have time later.

Brilliant, brilliant. This will add density to the PanPeninsula and Crossharbour area.

Surely it should get approved :)
Good news, another midrise, thats 2 in one day we have learned of!
Sounds good.

There's going to be quite a dense mini-cluster developing around there by the sounds of it, what with this, Pan Peninsula 1 & 2, the Marsh Wall towers, Crossharbour, Arrowhead Quay and Ability Place. And half of those towers I've just mentioned are already u/c.

Is 22 Marshwall under construction? I really want to know the status of this project as it seems to have gone very quiet as of recent.

Marshwall is 4 towers (incl. 26 and 40 floors) but at western edge of CW.
And I do not know of any 30-storeys resi developments with pp near PP.
We need more info.
Are you Jef? Have you created a 2nd account or something??
Jef, if you send me a PM with your email address then I'll get somebody in the Staff Forums to get your account details back.
sounds interesting, will create good density

poor jef :pet:
It sounds like plot 9 but I thought there was something u/c already.

I do wish TH would scrap there outdated MQ masterplan, as although 30 storeys is high they , along with most develoers around here want to go taller. But once these plots are redeveloped at 30 storeys & under its too late to change anything as u cant just knock down private residential towers unlike an office block at a future date. We will be left with mostly blocky maxium density & very little open space with no thought for the wider enviroment especially for the walking public. The 54 storey glengall scheme shows what can be achieved but judging from the comments about TH sticking to the MQ masterplan I doubt it will get through planning.
Yeap it is plot 9 me thinks.....pics soon hopefully :)
Yeah I got a bit confused as i thought that site already had something U/C but its the site next door to this that has this U/C

^ Yes, that's the "Ability Place" development I mentioned.
I have this model taken from the video presentation of the architect of of Pan Peninsula (website PP). one can see the development on the south (left)of PP (plot 9)

^^ What I saw yesterday looks nothing like that. in the new design the towers are facing the dock i.e towards us in that model.
Nice bit of density, should be good, it would be great if this was ever so slightly non-boxy
