Really like this, one of my favourite proposals...real shame to lose the Kings Arms, went last week and its still a great small sized venue and the type of place that actually makes a neighborhood, but if this gets built it will soften the blow haha
Hope CMP aren't overstretching themselves! This is one of the projects i really want built, despite the sad loss of the Kings' Arms..Looks like a real place catalyst for similar in an area of Newton which could be described as a bit of a shithole...
And "The Maritime" went bust, that was one of theres. It still has their logo on the fencing of the derelict building that the homeless have taken over and are calling home.
They were not the developer. Developer would of pushed for them to put up some hoardings to give the impression things were starting to move. Their exposure was bugger all.
Yup, as Robnbob said above, the developers behind what was to have been The Maritime are completely different people to the developers behind 59 France.
CMP Construction posted this on their Facebook page yesterday (plus a photo from the time lapse camera mentioned below):

And, the suns shining !
Yeah the basement is pretty deep now - watching it go down from my apartment (but too far for decent photos!). First 'floor' down is getting its wall already.
