Barratt has submitted a revised planning application for Phase 1 of a new hotel/residential development at East India Docks road / Docklands - I have not found back the thread... Anyway, the tallest elements are 38 and 33 storeys. They have started marketing so I presume they intend to start construction asap at the peak of the cycle.

Another Day, another Proposal, i actually really like this too. Its interestingly shaped.
Yeah I like it too.Views from the top floors gonna be awesome. They should also build a big park there this part of town really needs one.
almost like a mini-skyline on its own. variations of heights, and the greenary on the top gives it a thumbs up from me. Struggling to picture the exact location.........north of Aspen Way, somewhere around the northern entry to the Blackwall Tunnel?
Looks very sleak and appropraite..and adds colour

Edit: flatness of the biggest tower reminds me of the Rockerfellow Centre. NY
I can spot the three Elecktron towers in this one - but what's that slim tower behind them? It isn't Ontario or it's future brother...

Really like this scheme. Good colour, good massing and will be a great addition to an already booming area. Remember the Lea Peninsula scheme will be a stone's throw from this (you can see the site in the first rendering).

This whole area is going to become mega-dense in ten years time.

Reuters maybe ?

I have noticed Ballymore has resubmitted its planning application for Leamouth Peninsula North. No major modifications re. 5 buildings. The development now incorporates more open public space.

I did like this when it was first posted on the forum, although concerned about how the cladding will turn out. But I do love that its something different for the area, and I love the way the heights vary, it is like a mini NYC district all of its own, like someone said...looks a lil Rockafella ish.

Looks very nice indeed. Canary Wharf will be very dense in the future.
I really like this - its different, but not wacky - whilst retaining some class. And i love the different heights and detailed cladding. I'm amazed barrats homes are proposing somthing like this - arent ugly, cheap, yellow brick terraces their usual territory???

Looks like it's here:

I probably shouldn't like this, I know; it verges ever so close to being a modern commie-block throwback....and yet...I do like it...quite a lot. The original set of renders left me slightly unsure about the proposal, and I don't know whether it's because of changes to the design or because the renderings are of a higher quality, but looking at those pics now it looks almost like an entirely new scheme!

Very impressive renders btw, of the highest quality, particularly the 1st and 2nd ones. It's very interesting to see this style of rendering, with the background areas done in a sort of unpainted scale model representation, but with the actual project given shiney metallic colouring, makes it looks great!

London may suck in the extreme when it comes to getting on with building skyscrapers, but when it comes to the renderings...I don't think I've seen better!!

I'd obviously like to see the towers in relation to the real-life background images, but I still really like the way hey've done those. Nice project, looks good, looks classy and imaginative. Hope it goes ahead!!

The render from the old thread made it look awful, but these new 3D models do it proud. Has anyone else noticed the slight tinkering of the yellow/brown colour? It used to look much more mustard coloured, but now it looks really classy, and I can remember seeing a similar development in Hong Kong last year (but cannot find pic as of yet) :)

Haven't we seen this one before or am I getting confused with another proposal? Anyway I really like this scheme. It uses colour very effectively and stylishly and I like the density and size of the buildings. The roof gardens are a nice addition too. Only issue is whether it goes ahead and whether it looks anything like the render which makes it look great!

It's so nice, I can't stop looking at the images :D

I just wonder how that colour will look in real though.
Do we know the exact height?

I want to include these in a 2012 rendering.
