One of the few countries yet to contain a McDonalds, Mongolia is a fascinating place for sure. Full of beautiful friendly people, I highly recommend that you visit!

Nice pictures. I did the Trans-Siberian back in 1999, and stopped off at Ulaan Baator and Turtle Rock. It looks like UB hasen't changed much at all. Lots of Commie buildings and a general run down feel about it.

Wow the Steppe is definately on my list to visit. The history of the Huns, polo and the effect they would have on history is why i would love to go and see it. Plus it looks so damn beautiful.

Love the Communist symbols amongst the kids playing football. Really drives home how the world and region have changed post cold war.
