Hey all

I know it's been a while since I've posted in this part of the forums but, after recently returning from 2 weeks away in Japan I've got a lot of photos and experiences to share and talk about!

Japan was such an amazing country and managed to exceed my already high expectations. The people, the food, the culture, the history, the atmosphere - all great. I can't wait to visit again someday.

Here are a few photos to get the ball rolling!

I'm busy updating my blog with content related to my visit to Japan as well. This one is related to food, and is my attempt at providing readers with a guide to food in Tokyo not just by way of words, but by way of photos too.

Tokyo truly is one of the world's great food cities and it was nearly impossible to have a bad meal in the city. So much diversity from the affordable street food to the expensive high end stuff.

I lived and worked in Japan and if there's one thing I really miss, it's the food. Sure I can get decent quality Japanese food in my home town, but it's not the same. Anyway, cool pics.

2 weeks in Japan has "ruined" Japanese food in the west for me. I can' only imagine what living and working there did to you! I thought I knew Japanese food but it wasn't until going there that I realised how little I knew.

I was expecting the food in Japan to be great, and it exceeded my expectations however something I wasn't expecting was the sheer volume of amazing craft beers that were available in Japan. I've tried a few Japanese craft beers before, and there's a selection from a few brewers available in Australia but wow the variety in Japan is really impressive.

Thanks all! Next up is my visit to Akhiabara. I'd wanted to visit this part of Japan since reading about it being an electronics and gadget haven back when I was in primary school and when I finally got there I found a place that was unique, awesome, confusing & disturbing. Definitely a place that could only be found in Japan.
