Just when we are trying to figure out what happened with the Kente towers, the Adinkra towers appear! It is bound to suffer the same fate.

We've been having this debate for well over five years on this site now. We can't really do much but keep on ranting and hope that one day, we'll all wake up and things would have changed for the better and then may be, be prideful of the fact that at least we may have served as catalysts for this positive change in the status quo.

That being said, we do have very knowledgeable concerned sons of Africa/Ghana on this forum. Forumers I'm sure would make great leaders and policy makers and contribute their quota to the dream of making Ghana a more progressively minded society.

This is Ridge, isn't it? I see the Fidelity Bank HQ in the background of one of the renders. It's a decent height, let's hope niireo is right and this pans out. But I don't see what makes these towers "Adinkra".

Adinkra Heights – Another Mixed Development Masterpiece In The Offing

Hi Guys,it appears this project is for real and construction should start by October 2014

"The facility, to be executed by Switchback Developers, sits on a prime piece of land right opposite Accra’s 37 Military hospital in an exclusive development zone in the city.

This upmarket development, when completed will have 250 five-star bedrooms and an additional 76 serviced apartments. The name, Adinkra, is borrowed from traditional Akan visual symbols of the same name which represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages conveying traditional wisdom. As a result of this association, developers have named some of the apartments as Bese Saka, Eban, Nyame Dua, and Fihankra which are all symbols with different meanings and attributes in the Adinkra.

Due to its strategic location, Adinkra Heights could effectively serve Accra’s growing business class. The development is five minutes drive from the Kotoka International Airport and the government Ministries on either ways. Developers have also factored in the fact that the project’s location is in a traffic-prone area and have thus embed in the design, a 3000-capacity car park.
As a project being put together with the taste and needs of the upper-class in the Ghanaian society in mind, such luxurious facilities as a rooftop swimming pool and a private sky-garden terraces overlooking the lush greeneries of the capital city, forms part of the plan.

Though situated at the heart of Accra with limited land space, the project developers say they see the need in providing for the health needs of the occupants and users of the property and have thus inculcated a central communal park and gardens where residents and visitors alike can relax, enjoy and breathe in some fresh air. The project will commence in the coming months and is bound to be Accra’s next big address".

Okay. Will work on that. But am also getting confused tho.. The exchange, project sunrise and switchback park r they the same!
The Exchange and the Project Sunrise are the same. It is the mixed use development coming up at the Airport City Enclave. It is close to the Polo Courts. The Switchback project is opposite the 37 Hospital and the Flagstaff house. Its being undertaken by the Trassacco group.
