I don't understand why people are supporting white elephants like this? How many ghanaians can afford to live in places like this? Why pay to live in a place like that and go through dumsordumsor. We have to focus on job creation and not white elephants that no one can afford. If its built, these units are going to be empty.

I think the issue of development is a larger problem that we see it. It must be interlinked with education at all levels in our schools and as well be taken to chiefs and municipals. Obviously metro chiefs have to be blammed to for the lack urging for better standards and discipline in metro lifes-styles, and the fact that metro assemblies are equally manipulated by governments into doing what they must do in the interest of political ambitions of not handing down too hard on poorly established communities. The country needs an overhaul in leadership at all levels to truly begin to have this seen in even our infrastructure development, else i fear after putting up a plosh place, it will be surrounded by housing and behavior that will still marr the appeal. If the metro was really working, building codes will be established that even go to the level of stipulating roofing types, color ranges to use and more. All this to create a sort of harmony and unison within areas. But alas this is not there, or perhaps not even enforced. I think our infrastructure development agenda as a country is starting, and it's high time the architect community as well as the government and metro assemblies et all embark on some serious standardization plans that looks at the bigger picture. And whilst at it consider the bigger sense of the economy, where we want to take it too and how collectively it impacts on education and social amenities too. It sounds big, but is even worst if we are not embarking on a collective think through now. We will build and demolish faster than anywhere else. And as the country we are now, can we afford not to think well and plan better?

No idea yet. Alot of info on these projects stay within the board room. And this are things that are suppose to be brought out. To brand and project Ghana as the next destination and a hub for tourism, real Estate and business

Won't it be wonderful if this gets built eventually? But our chiefs, our chiefs oh mother Ghana when will you be free from obstacles to your progress? Chiefs occupy positions of influence and can put politicians on their toes but... nothing!

I was watching on Youtube a production by Nana Kwame Bediako on how he got the 2000 acres for his Petronia Project. He talked about having to sit with dozens of families and chiefs before sealing a deal. Now as a Ghanaian, Nana Kwame Bediako would have needed some astute negotiation skills to achieve that, and perhaps because the site is in a far away area, the cost wouldn't be obvious to the chiefs. Imagine that a foreign investor would want to do similar, how do they go about it? Even let's say they've got a Ghanaian partner, the mere fact that chiefs will not look at development as an opportunity for their people, but rather want to see it as a means to instantly become rich, they loose such opportunities so easily.
